Ogle County Animal Control is seeking applicants for the position for Animal Control Warden. Duties are, but not limited to, conducting investigations of complaints regarding animal cruelty and neglect, and enforcing state and county codes and ordinances.

Candidates must be available to work weekends, lift 50 lbs. and have a valid Illinois driver’s license with clear driving record.

High School diploma or GED and a good driving record are required (Valid IL driving license). Knowledge of animal behavior as well as animal handling experience is desired.

Full-Time: 35 hours per week, 5 days a week with varying days, and rotating on-call schedule. Candidates will be required to work some holidays and weekends.

The minimum pay rate is $17.00 per hour DOQ. Ogle County offers a competitive benefits package, including paid time off, health & dental insurance, and employer contributions to a defined-benefit retirement plan.
